The Parish includes Fairfield, Whitton Hill, parts of Rimswell, Elm Tree and the village of Hartburn extending along the A66 to the villages of Elton and Long Newton.  For administrative purposes it is bounded by the old railway line to the East, Darlington Lane to the North and Sandy Lea Lane to the West.

The Parish was started, served by Fr. Michael Hussey, with the opening of St. Patrick's R.C. Primary School in October 1963, growing out of the parishes of St.  Cuthbert's and St. Bede's.  The church was formally blessed and opened by Bishop Hugh Lindsay on 17th March, 1974, and has been served by four Parish Priests.

We are fortunate to have a good community base in the Parish Centre, and are blessed with generous people who give of their time and energy for the good of the Parish.  From September 2002 the seven parishes of Stockton form a cluster of parishes.

CHURCH OPEN TIMES

It is open 24 hours a day every day of the year for private prayer and visits.  People can use this opportunity before work or late in the evening.   There is a code to gain entry into the church, which is altered from time to time.  See Fr. Nicholas for the code.
